This OKBFAA training program is a certified, nationally recognized training program approved by the Oklahoma Department of Labor – Alarm and Locksmith Division.
This course meets requirements for installers and salespersons for a Oklahoma State License. The the Oklahoma Department of Labor – Alarm and Locksmith Division regulates the electronic security industry in the state of Oklahoma.
The program provides an overview on the theory, installation and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. Topics include:
- Codes & Standards
- Fire Alarm Equipment Overview
- Initiating Devices
- Signal Transmission
- Notification Appliances
- Signaling Systems
- Ancillary Circuits- Interconnecting Special Systems
- False Alarm Reduction
- Approvals & Acceptance
Effective January 1, 2020: There will be a $40 retest fee and a $100 fee to reschedule a technician if 7 days’ notice is not given after they are registered to attend.
Note: No technician can take a course unless they have registered and paid for the course. Those showing up at a test site without following this procedure will be refused. Materials and meals are ordered in advance and do not allow us to deviate from this process. Thank you.
