Description

This OKBFAA training program is a certified, nationally recognized training program approved by the Oklahoma Department of Labor – Alarm and Locksmith Division.

This course meets requirements for installers and salespersons for a Oklahoma State License.  The the Oklahoma Department of Labor – Alarm and Locksmith Division regulates the electronic security industry in the state of Oklahoma.

The program provides an overview on the theory, installation and maintenance of alarm systems. Lunch will be provided both days.  Topics include:

Registration closes on Friday prior to each class scheduled date.  

All virtual classes are taught by qualified industry experts, and conducted in real time, not recorded.  All class details are sent via email on the Monday prior to the class date.   The class details include the Zoom Webinar, .pdf copy of the course book, and exam login information and detailed instructions on taking the exam.  The exam is administered through our training portal with a third-party proctor service and is open book.  

The student is given 8 days after the completion of the training class to take the exam.  Upon completing the exam, the exam score is displayed and also sent by email to the student.  The exam is 80 questions with 90 minutes to complete.  Students must have a passing score of 70%.  Each student is given two exam attempts.  If a student does not pass the second exam, there will be a $50 retest fee.  When the student passes the exam and we have confirmed approval from the proctor service, another email is sent notifying the student that their Certificate of Completion is ready for them to download from the training portal.  The Certificate of Completion is a required document of the licensing application to the OK Department of Labor.  

Computer requirements for taking the training class are audio capabilities but if not available a mobile phone can be used for sound.  Video capabilities are not required.  

Note: No technician can take a course unless they have registered and paid for the course.
